From the airport to Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Bintang

But, how do you get from the airport to Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Bintang?
This splendid place is always popular among tourists because of reasonably good taxi, bus, and train transport facilities. Bukit Bintang now has MRT (Metro or Subway, as is called in some countries) station, but it doesn’t connect the place with the airport directly. So you can’t use MRT to reach from the airport to Kuala Lumpur city or Bukit Bintang. However, you can go to some places in Kuala Lumpur only as one line (Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line) is functional. Therefore, the most efficient method to visit Bukit Bintang is the direct taxi with the same price you can spend to go to KL Sentral from the airport. Alternately, you can first reach the KL Sentral and from there either take a taxi, Grab or monorail (monorail would be cheapest with a ticket price of RM 2.10 from KL Sentral to Bukit Bintang.

- The taxi fare from the airport to Bukit Bintang can be around RM74 and the ride can take around 48 minutes in normal road traffic
- The bus fare is RM10 (one way) for a person and can take about 90 minutes to reach the station. The bus would usually go to KL Sentral and from there you may need to go to Museum Negara to take another bus to Bukit Bintang
